ABOUT US

REACT (Radio Emergency Associated Communication Teams) is an international public service organization comprised of local teams providing emergency radio communications to serve their communities.

Westchester County REACT has served nonprofit agencies in the Greater New York area for many years providing communications and safety services such as traffic control, for special events like walk-a-thons, bike tours, etc.

NOTE: At this point in time, we are only available to provide our event support services on a case-by-case basis.

Many of our members are First Aid trained, or even Emergency Medical Technicians, so that we may render aid for any illness or injury which occurs during the event.

Members use their own personal vehicles and equipment to perform these functions, including 2-way radio equipment.

In times of disaster, we coordinate efforts with other emergency organizations including local police agencies, FEMA, NOAA, RACES, ARES, NOVAD, Westchester County OEM, the Salvation Army and the American Red Cross.

All team functions are funded by donations from those we assist, and by members' dues.
